What is Going on?
Increasingly some people behind some Ethiopian web sites, although they may have the best of intentions for their country at heart, they appear to have lost the plot - well at least the new plot.
There is no doubt the government of the day is at odd with many Ethiopians and there is nothing wrong, in fact it is their citizenship's right to call for policies change or even change of government.
But in doing so, the people who call for a change must themselves be free from the errors and misrule they implicated the government has had committed. If this government is and indeed has come to office and maintain office using force and conspiracy, some people behind some web sites are doing nothing but disservice to the Ethiopian people by displaying, parading and glamorising gun totting chthonic individuals or group of individuals in the name of liberation fronts. It appears lessons are not learnt or mistakes are repeated for hidden reasons.
Or to take the innocuous route, it appears some people are so desperate they want to see changes, we all want to see, in the country in their life time, or better still, they wanted to be hoisted to power before their natural time is up and as a result would want to cut comers to get where they wanted to be without realising that their plan undermines the essences for the need of change.
The level of their desperation and their agog to grab the attention of their followers appear to have gone beyond the pale, when for example one web site - Deki Alula went an extraneous extra mile in its analysis to wedge discords and strife between the people (who hitherto lived in harmony) of Ray and the rest of Tigray - that the Rayas have been forced to learn Tigriana against their will.
Furthermore, What and where is the Tigrianess/Ethiopian of some of these sites which profess and indeed take up their name after Tigria, Axum, Hawlti, Alula, Walta, etc if they cannot defend the interest of Ethiopia and Ethiopians whatever and whenever it matters. Why did for example most if not all these web sites failed to devote their time and resources to compose a story and clamour for in defence of the looted and neglected Obelisk of Ethiopia that had been struck by lightning in Rome. Why didn't they objurgate in the severest possible way to the world when Our Obelisk that withstood the harshness of nature for thousands of years was and still is exposed to the vagaries of nature in the ghetto of Rome. Failing to do that, especially those who display the Obelisk as their web hallmark, Deki Alula and Hawletna web sites have posted a programme which has a sign-seal of the Obelisk itself calling for the Third upraise of Wayneie. Do they really have the people of Tigria's interest at heart or are they using the people as other have done to simply trade horse?
I for one would wish to see a change of government, if government is not working in the interest of the people it claims to represent. I for one would wish to see some people removed from office if they use the power, and there are who do, of the office they occupy to promote personal vendetta against individuals and the family member with whom the have grudges. If common people who came to power on the basis of common peoples' efforts fail to utilise badly needed human power available to the best use to help the country cope with the challenge it faces but rather resort to nepotism to put some of their friends and acolytes in good places and neglect others as retributive measures, such people are waste of time and space and the sooner they are removed the better.
This said, however, It is time that some people should pause and reflect and stop flirting with any gun toting person or group of persons and fight for the well being of the nation, otherwise before they know it they will be seen as tools manipulated by others promoting the ills of nation intentionally or else.
