Every Time ….

Every time I go to bed,
I ask myself the same question:
How did I fare today,
And what is my fate tomorrow?
As a matter of fact,

Ttoday was unbelievably tough,
However, despite the stress and the rat race,
I did survive the ordeal, with
The Body and the mind both intact,
And I should be pleased.
If I can say the same thing tomorrow,
I certainly am richer and a lot more powerful
Than the man who hands me a harrow
And makes me push all day long the
wheelbarrow.
But also that swashbuckler,
Who plays with fire,
Only to inflict great sorrow
By denying the children their divine right to grow
